I'm guessing that, with luck, they might think it was kind of cool as a gimmick - ie LetsBeSocial and The Solihull News in a kind of partnership for the good of Solihull? They could stick it on their own website as well, maybe? ie LetsBeSocial (New Media) and Solihull News (Old Media) helping to promote each other? Come to think of it, I could also drop a line to my favourite journalist there, Dave Irwin, if you like. Also - any chance of anything like this for Acocks Green? Costa comes to mind ...
